Tottenham Hotspur are open to offers for defender Eric Dier, according to the Daily Mail.
The 29-year-old is not in the plans of new manager Ange Postecoglou. World Cup winner Cristian Romero and new signing Micky van den Ven have been the first-choice pairing in defence.
Dier has been left out of the squad in their first two games of the new season, signalling that he needs to find another club.
Asked about Dier’s absence after their 2-2 draw at Brentford, Postecoglou said: “Eric is part of this team. He’s working hard in training and is available for selection.
“My decisions then are what I think will give us the best chance of success for any given game, and then we reassess the week after. Nothing really unusual there.”
Postecoglou also denied Dier the chance of being club captain after Harry Kane by giving the armband to Heung-min Son.
Dier is not a part of Postecoglou’s plans and will be heading for the exit with just one year left on his contract.
He has been linked with Fulham as they seek a potential replacement for Tosin Adarabioyo.
Adarabioyo is subject to interest from Tottenham, AS Monaco and Inter Milan. The French club had a bid for Adarabioyo rejected earlier this summer.
Dier has been a regular for Tottenham since joining them from Sporting CP in 2014, making over 361 appearances, bagging 13 goals and 15 assists.
He has fulfilled several roles for Spurs, filling in at right-back, centre-back and midfield when required.
The Cheltenham-born star has 49 caps for the England national team since making his debut in November 2015 and was part of the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
A groin injury from the second half of last season has caused him to lose form, but there is still time for him to return to his best, playing under a manager that trusts him.
