Everton set to table bid for Johan Bakayoko

Everton have emerged as one of the front-runners in the race to sign PSV Eindhoven talent Johan Bakayoko.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, the Toffees are poised to make a move for the young winger. They will officially approach the Eredivisie club in the coming week.

However, PSV are digging in their heels, showing reluctance to part ways with the rising star this summer.

The 20-year-old has also attracted the attention of Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain.

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany also admires the budding star, but PSV want to keep him.

Following the departure of Noni Madueke to Chelsea in January, Bakayoko became a more prominent first-team fixture.

The exciting winger made 39 appearances across all competitions, contributing nine goals and six assists as PSV clinched second place in Eredivisie and won the KNVB Cup.

The young Belgian’s impact has continued this season.

In their Champions League qualification showdown against Sturm Graz, Bakayoko delivered two crucial assists that propelled his side to a resounding 4-1 victory.

The four-cap Belgian international played 84 minutes in PSV’s 2-0 triumph over Utrecht on the opening day of the new Eredivisie campaign.

Despite his remarkable form and widespread interest, Bakayoko’s management affirmed his contentment at PSV. He is ready to continue learning under Peter Bosz.

Bakayoko wants consistent playing time to nurture his development, but the Premier League’s allure is not lost on him.

With competition increasing for Bakayoko’s signature, a hefty price tag will be the prerequisite for any prospective suitor to lure him away from PSV’s clutches.
