Three possible replacements for Harry Kane at Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur will usher in a new era as their talisman striker Harry Kane is on his way to Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga giants have reportedly snapped up the English striker for more than €100 million on a four-year deal.

The 30-year-old will leave Tottenham as the club’s all-time top scorer.

With the transfer window closing in a few weeks and considerable proceeds from his sale in their hands, Spurs can focus on signing Kane’s replacement.

However, there aren’t many players of his ilk in the transfer market and he will be difficult to replace.

We take a look at the potential strikers Spurs could look to sign this summer.

Mehdi Taremi

FC Porto striker Mehdi Taremi bears a resemblance to Kane in terms of physique and stature.

He prefers to drop deep to link up play and is a clinical finisher inside the box.

Teremi has been the subject of exit speculation this summer, with Inter Milan working on a potential deal to prise him away from Portugal.

However, Inter are struggling with the transfer fee, which could play into Tottenham’s hands.

They are not playing in the Champions League this season but can easily afford Porto’s demands and offer the Iranian striker higher wages.

The 30-year-old is one of the most underappreciated strikers in Europe, boasting numbers on par with elite centre-forwards.

Jonathan David

Recent reports suggest Spurs have accelerated their pursuit of Lille striker Jonathan David in the wake of Kane’s imminent departure.

The Canadian striker has been prolific for Les Dogues, consistently hitting impressive goalscoring numbers.

He was Ligue 1’s third-highest scorer last season with 24 goals.

The 23-year has been on the market this summer after informing the French giants of his desire to seek a new challenge.

David appeared to be leaning towards staying put at Lille due to a lack of substantial offers, but Spurs have entered the mix.

The Ligue 1 giants are prepared for his departure as they have lined up Gent’s Gift Orban as a potential alternative.

Spurs will have to fork out around €60 million to secure David’s services.

Dusan Vlahovic

Dusan Vlahovic’s future at Juventus is hanging in the balance amid heavy exit speculation.

The Serbian striker has been linked with Chelsea in a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku, but the move is off after the Premier League club turned down the opportunity.

The Bianconeri are working to find buyers for Vlahovic and then reinvest the proceeds for their top target Lukaku.

Spurs may look towards the Serbian, who could elevate the club to new heights.

However, Real Madrid pose a threat as they are also interested in Vlahovic.

They can offer Champions League football and the prospect of winning more silverware.
