Tottenham and Bayern fail to reach agreement over Harry Kane deal after talks in London

Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have reportedly failed to reach an agreement over Harry Kane’s future after their talks in London.

According to The Athletic, representatives from the two clubs met on Monday to discuss the transfer but couldn’t reach an agreement.

Kane is the Bavarians’ number one target this summer, but they are reportedly still £25 million adrift of Spurs’ valuation.

Bayern have had two bids rejected for the experienced striker, but they are still confident of securing a deal.

They will continue negotiations with the Premier League outfit over the coming weeks.

Kane has been part of Tottenham’s pre-season tour and started in their 5-1 win over Lion City Sailors last week.

His contract at the club expires in 2024, and he hasn’t indicated he wants to sign a new deal.

The England international is reportedly keen to move to Germany, where he can compete for major silverware.

He has been at Spurs all his career but is yet to lift a trophy despite being one of the best players in the Premier League.

Spurs may improve their league position in 2023-24 following a disappointing 8th-place finish last term. However, their prospects of winning a major trophy are slim.

If Kane refuses to sign a new deal, Tottenham will be forced to sell him as they will not want to lose him for free next summer.
