Inter Milan close to wrap up deal for Lazar Samardzic as personal terms agreed

Inter Milan are on the verge of signing Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic.

Personal terms have been agreed with the Serbian playmaker, and Inter are progressing in their talks to strike a deal with Udinese.

According to journalist Nico Schira, Inter are looking to wrap up Samardzic’s signing by Tuesday if everything goes to plan.

They have proposed an offer worth €15 million and midfielder Giovanni Fabbian in part-exchange.

Inter have received the green light from Samardzic over a five-year contract until 2028 worth €1.8 million per season plus bonuses.

The 21-year-old had an impressive 2022/23 campaign, catching the interest of several clubs, including Lazio and Napoli.

However, Inter have come out on top, and Samardzic’s addition will further bolster their midfield following Davide Frattesi’s signing earlier this summer.

The Nerazzurri are simultaneously working on a deal for Yann Sommer, who has been identified as the replacement for Andre Onana.

The Bayern Munich goalkeeper is edging closer towards a move to Inter in a deal worth €5m.

Signing a striker also remains a priority after abandoning the pursuit of Romelu Lukaku.

Inter have shortlisted Folarin Balogun, Gianluca Scamacca and Alvaro Morata as potential candidates.

Balogun’s name tops the list, as Arsenal are keen on offloading him this summer.

Inter are ramping up their efforts to land the United States striker and have previously lodged an offer worth €40m.
