Atalanta reach agreement for club-record transfer of El Bilal Toure

Atalanta have reached a full agreement with Almeira over the signing of talented forward El Bilal Toure, according to Sky Sport Italia.

La Dea have been monitoring the Malian talent this summer and have beaten Premier League outfit Everton to his signing.

The Bergamo-based outfit are set to fork out a club-record fee of €28 million plus €3m in bonuses for Bilal Toure.

The 21-year-old is expected to undergo his medicals with the Serie A giants in the coming days.

Atalanta have reportedly sanctioned the sale of Jeremie Boga to Ligue 1 club Nice in a deal worth €18 million.

With Rasmus Hojlund heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and Duvan Zapata tipped to leave this summer, strengthening the forward line has become a priority for La Dea.

After gaining prominence at Reims, Bilal Toure moved to Almeria last summer and played a pivotal role in the Spanish club avoiding relegation last season by a whisker.

The Malian international netted seven goals and two assists, including strikes against Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Bilal Toure has been viewed as the replacement for Hojlund, whose departure is on the cards after giving his okay on a move to Man Utd.

Atalanta have already signed Mitchel Bakker, Sead Kolasinac and Michel Adopo this summer, but there could be more departures.

Giorgio Scalvini, Rafael Toloi, Merih Demiral, Teun Koopmeiners and Joakim Maehle are all facing uncertain futures amid interest from top European clubs.

The club faces the daunting task of keeping hold of them or adding reinforcements in the event of their departures in the transfer window.

La Dea will be desperate to return to the top four of Serie A after failing to do so in the past couple of seasons.
