PSG optimistic about signing Kane amid Bayern interest

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is considering a move to Paris Saint-Germain, despite already agreeing contract terms with Bayern Munich, per RMC Sport.

The 29-year-old England international wants to bid farewell to London this summer and PSG have set their sights on him as their top priority signing.

The Ligue 1 champions have placed Kane on their transfer shortlist as they plan for life without Kylian Mbappe.

However, as expected with such high-profile transfers, the road to securing Kane’s services is anything but smooth.

Tottenham Hotspur put a £100 million price tag on their prized asset and are unwilling to accept a lower offer.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi travelled to London to discuss the feasibility of a move with his Tottenham counterpart Daniel Levy.

Adding another layer of intrigue to the mix, Kane has reportedly utilised PSG’s interest as leverage in negotiations with Bayern, which has angered them.

The Bundesliga champions, who were already hesitant about meeting the hefty fee, have seen two offers rejected by Levy.

The German giants are keen on bringing the prolific striker to Munich but have indicated they won’t reach the asking price.

Despite the ongoing negotiations and challenges, Al-Khelaifi remains cautiously optimistic about the possibility of the transfer.

With the transfer window ticking away, PSG know that time is of the essence. Any move for the coveted striker will require deft manoeuvring.

In other PSG transfer news, the record Ligue 1 champions have accepted a €300 million offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for star attacker Kylian Mbappe.

The French forward could join the Saudi Pro League outfit for one year before leaving for free to join Real Madrid.
