Valencia striker Edinson Cavani has been left out of the travelling squad for the pre-season tour of Switzerland, according to Cadena Cope (via Matteo Moretto).
The veteran Uruguayan striker reportedly wants his contract with the Spanish side terminated after just one year at the Mestalla Stadium.
The 36-year-old arrived from Manchester United on a free transfer last summer and played a rotating role at Los Che despite the club battling against relegation until the final game of the campaign.
Having started the season as a first-team regular, Cavani began struggling for minutes following the arrival of Ruben Baraja, who opted for other options in attack.
Cavani made 28 appearances across all competitions last term, registering seven goals and two assists as Valencia finished just two points above the relegation zone.

Cavani has one year left on his contract with Los Che, having signed a two-year deal when he joined last summer, but is now open to leaving the club this summer.
Baraja is also willing to cut ties with the former Paris Saint-Germain top scorer, but the striker and the club are struggling to reach an agreement.
Cavani is unhappy with his treatment at Valencia. While he is open to a departure, the experienced striker does not want to miss out on the salary he is due, which is stalling a termination agreement.
A return to South America could be on the cards, but interested clubs are reluctant to pay a transfer fee to capture his signature.
Meanwhile, AC Milan target Yunus Musah has travelled with the squad for pre-season despite the uncertainty surrounding his future at the Estadio Mestalla.
Musah has already agreed personal terms with the Rossoneri, but Valencia president Peter Lim has yet to green-light the operation.
Valencia are holding out for their €25 million asking price, while the Serie A giants are unwilling to go beyond €20m to wrap up the deal.
