Unnamed Premier League club in transfer battle with Crystal Palace for Everton star Demarai Gray

Demarai Gray’s future at Everton is the subject of intense speculation this summer.

The 27-year-old has reportedly grown frustrated with his starting opportunities under manager Sean Dyche.

His game time suffered during the second half of the season, with Dyche preferring Dwight McNeil on the left wing.

The Jamaica international is now ready to leave the Toffees in search of regular football elsewhere.

Crystal Palace have shown interest in Gray, but they face competition for his signature.

According to Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers, an unnamed Premier League club and Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal have entered the transfer race for Gray.

The ex-Birmingham City star has made 75 appearances since joining Everton in July 2021.

He has been an important member of the first-team squad, but the Toffees are willing to let him leave if they receive a £12 million offer.

The Jamaica international’s contract expires in 2024, with the club having the option to extend it by another year.

Gray mainly plays as a left winger, but he can also be deployed as a right winger and attacking midfielder.

Everton are looking to raise funds for new recruits as they aim to make a solid start to the 2023-24 campaign.

They have only signed former Manchester United and Aston Villa full-back Ashley Young this summer.
