Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for wantaway Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bono, according to RMC Sport.
The French champions have added a goalkeeper to their extensive transfer shortlist, with Sergio Rico set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
The new goalkeeper is expected to play second fiddle to Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is set to retain his place as first-choice shot-stopper despite exit rumours.
There was growing speculation suggesting the Italy international goalkeeper was seeking a way out of the French capital with Luis Enrique in the market for a new number one.
However, Donnarumma’s agent has swiftly debunked those rumours claiming his client is happy at Parc des Princes and Enrique is keen to work with him.
Nevertheless, PSG will sign a goalkeeper this summer, and the French giants are considering a move for unsettled Sevilla shot-stopper Bono.
The Morocco international goalkeeper has reportedly grown frustrated at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium after being forced to share his starting berth with former deputy Marko Dmitrovic.
Bono has played a prominent role in Sevilla’s success in recent years, winning two Europa League trophies with the La Liga giants, but his time with the reigning champions could end this summer.
Sevilla will not stand in his way if a suitable proposal arrives, and the 32-year-old is open to a departure amid concrete interest from Saudi Arabian clubs.
However, PSG have joined the race to capture his signature, and Les Parisiens have reportedly opened talks with the player’s representatives over a potential transfer.
Mendilibar is plotting an unprecedented squad overhaul at Sevilla and has urged the club hierarchy to release at least ten players this summer.
Sevilla are also open to the idea of a clear-out that could help aid their financial turmoil, and Bono could be the first to leave the club.
Los Nervionenses will demand at least €15 million for the goalkeeper, but it remains to be seen if Bono will accept a move to PSG, knowing he could be playing second fiddle to Donnarumma.
