Fulham turn down Al-Hilal’s £25m offer for Aleksandar Mitrovic

Fulham have reportedly rejected a £25 million bid from Al-Hilal for Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Saudi Pro League club have already signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Neves from Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.

They are also close to sealing a move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for £34 million.

Al-Hilal have now made an ambitious attempt to bring in Mitrovic. The 28-year-old is reportedly keen to leave the Premier League and join the Saudi club.

However, as per BBC Sport, Fulham have turned down the offer insisting they have no desire to sell the player.

The striker joined the Cottagers in 2018, initially on loan, before making the move permanent for a fee of £25m.

The Serbia international has been a hugely influential figure for Fulham in recent seasons.

He has made 205 senior appearances for Fulham, bagging 111 goals and 22 assists.

Mitrovic was instrumental in helping his side earn promotion to the Premier League in 2021-22.

He broke the Championship scoring record with 43 goals in 44 games, leading his side to the league title.

The 28-year-old also enjoyed an impressive 2022-23 season despite missing eight matches through suspension.

He made 16 goal contributions in 24 top-flight appearances, averaging 3.9 shots, 0.7 key passes and 1.0 long balls per game.
