Al-Hilal target Fulham striker Mitrovic, player wants the move

Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal have submitted a £25.5 million offer for Fulham centre-forward Aleksandar Mitrovic, according to Sky Sports.

The striker is ready to leave the Cottagers and join the player exodus to the Middle East.

Jota, Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Marcelo Brozovic, and Roberto Firmino joined the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr earlier this year in the first high-profile move.

Mitrovic is the latest target for Saudi Arabia after netting 14 Premier League goals last season.

His tally was instrumental in Fulham finishing in the top half of the Premier League table after playing a key role in their promotion to the top flight.

The Serbian international joined Fulham in 2018. He went to the club on loan before signing permanently later that year for £25 million.

Al-Hilal have been one of the busiest Saudi Arabian clubs in the transfer market.

They have already secured the signature of Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers, paying £47 million for the Portuguese midfielder.

Al-Hilal have also signed centre-back Koulibaly from Chelsea after a disappointing first season in the Premier League.

They are close to completing the signing of Lazio midfield powerhouse Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for €40 million. The Serbian international will earn around £17 million annually at the club.

Al-Hilal hope to unite the Serbian pair of Milinkovic-Savic and Mitrovic as they bid to challenge Al-Ittihad for the league title.
