AC Milan offered Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi, Balogun and Jonathan David also on Rossoneri’s wishlist

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Porto striker Mehdi Taremi in the summer transfer window, as per a report by Sky Sport Italia.

A striker remains one of the priorities for Milan this summer following the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Divock Origi and Ante Rebic have also been linked with exits, leaving Olivier Giroud as Milan’s only reliable centre-forward.

Taremi has caught the attention of Milan and AS Roma following his incredible goalscoring consistency at Porto over the years and his performances in the Champions League last season.

The 30-year-old’s contract expires in 2024, and he is willing to seek a new challenge this summer.

However, the Portuguese giants are demanding €25 million, which is complicating Milan’s pursuit due to their financial limitations.

Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal are also monitoring the Iranian striker, having splashed the cash for Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Neves this summer.

Milan have also identified Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun and Jonathan David of Lille as top striker targets.

Balogun has turned the heads of top European clubs following his impressive loan stint at Reims last season where he bagged 21 goals in Ligue 1.

The Gunners are demanding around €50 million to part ways with Balogun, who recently switched his allegiance to the United States national team.

David is also one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market and looks certain to leave Lille after three years.

The Canadian striker, who finished as Ligue 1’s third top scorer last season with 24 goals, could also attract a fee worth around €60 million.

It is unclear how much Milan have left in their transfer war chest following several investments this summer.

They have confirmed the transfers of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and free agent Luka Romero, while Christian Pulisic and AZ Alkmaar midfielder Tijjani Reijnders are expected to follow.

They will cost Milan around €70 million, and it remains to be seen whether they are willing to break the bank for a striker.
