Bayern Munich table improved offer for Harry Kane

Bayern Munich have made a second offer to Tottenham Hotspur for Harry Kane, according to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.

Having seen their initial bid of €70 million rejected, Bayern have submitted another bid worth a guaranteed €80m plus add-ons as they hope to snap up Kane, who is keen on moving to the Allianz Arena.

Kane is in the final year of his contract, but Tottenham have remained firm in their stance not to part ways with the Englishman.

This is understandable given that he racked up 30 Premier League goals last season, second only to Erling Barut Haaland’s 36-goal haul.

Manchester United were previously linked with a move earlier in the window but their interest has since cooled to a significant extent as they are now focused on landing Rasmus Hojlund from Serie A outfit Atalanta.

If Tottenham reject Bayern’s latest bid for Kane, it remains to be seen whether the Bundesliga giants will return with another offer amid reports that €100m may be too good for Spurs to turn down.

Bayern have earmarked other transfer targets such as Randal Kolo Muani and Dusan Vlahovic in the event they are unable to get a deal for Kane over the line.

Off the back of a relatively disappointing campaign by their standards where they needed a late winner from Jamal Musiala to secure the title, Bayern are expected to be fairly active in the transfer market.

They have already secured the acquisitions of Konrad Laimer and Raphael Guerreiro as free agents from RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund respectively, while Kim Min-jae is currently putting the finishing touches on a move from Napoli.
