Paris Saint-Germain lining up summer move for Harry Kane

Paris Saint-Germain are aiming to snap up Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the upcoming transfer window, according to Le Parisien.

Kane is approaching the final year of his Tottenham contract, and a move at the end of the current season is firmly on the cards.

Spurs are reportedly holding out for an upfront payment of £100 million if they are to part ways with their record goalscorer, who is still very much open to remaining in north London as he targets silverware with his current employers.

“Of course, I still want to win trophies for Tottenham Hotspur,” Kane was quoted saying by The Mirror back in January.

“That’s been my goal since I started playing first-team football with them – it hasn’t happened.

“I’ve been open about [how I feel about] that but I’ll continue to try to achieve that.

Kane also hinted that contract talks between him and Tottenham were expected, although he is focused on finishing the season as strongly as possible.

“There’s not been much [contract] talk if I’m totally honest,” he added.

“I’m sure they’ll be conversations over the coming months but to be honest I’m just focused on this season and doing my best for the team.”

Bayern Munich and Manchester United have both been credited with an interest in Kane but they will now face added competition from PSG.

Off the back of another disappointing season in the Champions League where they crashed out to Bayern in the first knockout round, Christophe Galtier’s men will look to strengthen their squad once again.

Hugo Ekitike was brought in from Stade de Reims last summer, but a largely uninspiring debut season means that Les Parisiens are in the market for a new striker.

While Kane is believed to be the prime target for PSG, the Ligue 1 champions have lined up a list of potential alternatives, which include Victor Osimhen, Randal Kolo Muani and Marcus Thuram.
