Everton endured another relegation battle in the English top-flight last term.
Although they ultimately managed to secure Premier League survival, their overall season was massively disappointing.
Frank Lampard led Everton to a disastrous start, picking up only two wins from their first 11 league encounters.
Their performances further deteriorated as the season progressed, and Lampard was ultimately sacked in January with the club 19th in the standings.
The Chelsea legend was replaced with Sean Dyche who brought some defensive solidity and led them to some excellent results.
But the Toffees only guaranteed their top-flight survival on the final day of the season after their 1-0 victory over Bournemouth at Goodison Park.
Losing Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur in the PL summer transfer window was a massive blow as they struggled to score goals in 2022-23.
Everton will now look to bolster their ranks to make a strong comeback next term. They are yet to make their first signing but are being linked with several players.
Niels Nkounkou, Yerry Mina, Andros Townsend and Asmir Begovic have all left the club, while Mason Holgate, Dele Alli, Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Andre Gomes are being linked with moves elsewhere.
Everton pre-season fixtures
Sean Dyche’s side will travel to Switzerland to take on Stade Nyonnais at the Colovray Sport Centre in their pre-season fixtures this July.
They meet Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on July 22 before squaring off with Bolton Wanderers at the University of Bolton Stadium three days later.
The Merseyside outfit visit Stoke City on July 29 before concluding the pre-season with a home clash against Sporting Lisbon.
