Inter Milan target Hugo Lloris to replace Man Utd-bound Onana

Inter Milan are planning a move for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris this summer, according to L’Equipe.

They want the Frenchman to replace Andre Onana, who is on his way to Manchester United after only one year in Italy.

Lloris has one year left on his contract at Spurs but will likely head for the exit door after 11 years of service.

The 36-year-old has conceded 508 goals in 447 appearances for Spurs. He has kept 158 clean sheets, establishing himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.

Lloris has been a mainstay in the Tottenham backline for years but looked a shadow of himself last season. He suffered injuries and made several glaring errors.

Spurs were reportedly pushing to sign David Raya from Brentford. He was their top transfer target to replace Lloris.

However, the Bees demanded £40 million, and Spurs signed Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli. They paid only €19 million, and he signed a five-year contract.

With Tottenham already securing a successor for Lloris, they will allow him to move. He has an offer from the Saudi Pro League and Ligue 1 clubs, but Inter are interested.

The Nerazzurri reportedly have also been linked with Bayern Munich keeper Yann Sommer.

The Swiss international is surplus to requirements now that Manuel Neuer is back from his long-term injury.

Shakhtar Donetsk keeper Anatoliy Trubin is another option for Inter, who are looking for low-cost options as they have limited transfer funds despite reaching the Champions League final last season.
