Inter Milan plan to sign three goalkeepers including Yann Sommer as Andre Onana edges closer to exit

Inter Milan are planning to overhaul the goalkeeping position as Andre Onana edges closer towards an exit.

Manchester United have been in continuous pursuit of the Cameroonian keeper, and they have lodged an improved offer of €50 million.

While Inter are holding out for €60m, there is an increased feeling that an agreement could be reached sooner, with Onana keen on a move to Old Trafford.

The Nerazzurri are planning to reinvest the transfer fee to sign a replacement for Onana, identifying three potential candidates.

As reported by Sky Sport Italia, Inter have set their sights on Yann Sommer, Anatoliy Trubin and Raffaele Di Gennaro.

Sommer’s future at Bayern Munich is up in the air despite being instrumental in the Bundesliga title win last season.

The Swiss goalkeeper only moved from Borussia Monchengladbach at the start of the year, and his place is under threat following the return of Manuel Neuer from injury.

The German shot-stopper is expected to displace Sommer as the first-choice next season.

The Nerazzurri see Sommer as the primary option between the sticks and believe he can be signed for around €6m.

However, there aren’t any concrete negotiations yet, and Sommer hasn’t decided on his future, with his current deal at Bayern running until 2025.

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin has been identified as the understudy to Sommer, with Samir Handanovic expected to leave the San Siro this summer.

The Ukrainian shot-stopper is rated at around €10 million, and Inter have already commenced talks over a potential move.

With Inter’s current third-choice keeper Alex Cordaz wanted by Al-Nassr, Inter are exploring a deal for former player and Gubbio star Raffaele Di Gennaro.

Inter have completed the deal for Saussolo midfielder Davide Frattesi as the club’s second summer signing after Marcus Thuram.
