AC Milan reach full agreement with Chelsea to sign Christian Pulisic

AC Milan have struck an agreement with Chelsea to acquire the services of Christian Pulisic, according to Calciomercato.

Milan will reportedly pay a total of €20 million including add-ons to land the American, who is expected to put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

Pulisic had earlier hinted at a potential move away from Chelsea while on duty with the United States national team in last month’s Gold Cup tournament where he captained his side to glory.

“Right now, I am focused on the national team. I want to be here – I want to win games,” the 24-year-old was quoted as saying by football.london.

“When the time comes, obviously, I need to also rest after this game a bit, get away from the game a bit and enjoy my breaks and my family, all those kinds of things.

“And then, once it’s time to make decisions and then see what options I have, then I will deal with it then.”

Pulisic will be Milan’s fourth summer signing following the earlier arrivals of Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Luka Romero.

Having struggled for both form and fitness last season, he will be looking to get his career back on track under Stefano Pioli.

Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Lyon attempted to snap up Pulisic by submitting a €25m offer but the American already had his heart set on a move to San Siro after agreeing personal terms with Milan.

Pulisic’s impending departure continues a large summer exodus at Chelsea which has seen the Blues recoup over €200m following some high-profile departures.

Milan are also negotiating with Villarreal and Valencia for Samuel Chukwueze and Yunus Musah respectively, while AZ Alkmaar’s Tijjani Reijnders is also on their radar.
