Thiago Alcantara rejects Saudi Pro League offer for Liverpool stay

The Saudi Arabia Pro League has set its sights on Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara, but he has rejected their advances, according to The Athletic.

As the Spain international enters the final year of his contract at Anfield, his future has become a subject of interest.

Liverpool have not received any offers but the player’s representatives have received approaches for the La Masia graduate.

However, Thiago is focused on preparing for the upcoming season and intends to stay with the Merseyside club.

Speculation abounds whether an improved offer may sway his decision, as it recently did with Steven Gerrard.

If Thiago expressed a desire to pursue a transfer, Liverpool would face a critical decision.

The club expects him to see out his final year and eventually depart as a free agent in 2024.

Liverpool have been revamping their midfield during the summer transfer window.

They have already secured the signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, bolstering their ranks.

Klopp is considering further reinforcements in that department, with Southampton’s Romeo Lavia among the players on their radar.

However, the club remains cautious and will explore other options before pursuing a deal.

Liverpool have decided against pursuing OGC Nice’s Khephren Thuram following the signing of Szoboszlai.

The Merseyside club believes the Hungarian international is the superior choice for their midfield rebuild.

As the transfer window progresses, Liverpool fans wait to see what the future holds for Thiago.
