Mauricio Pochettino looking to offload four Chelsea stars before pre-season starts

Chelsea are fighting to sell four players before they head out to the United States for their pre-season tour, according to The Telegraph

The Blues have already sold Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Edouard Mendy, Abdul Baba Rahman, Mateo Kovacic and Kalidou Koulibaly.

N’Golo Kante has also left on a free transfer, as will captain Cesar Azpilicueta. Tiemoue Bakayoko has exited following the expiry of his contract.

However, they still have a few players on their books to sell – Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Romelu Lukaku.

They do not want to be at the club, and manager Mauricio Pochettino does not want to train any players who do not want to be at Stamford Bridge.

Ziyech was close to moving to Saudi Arabia, but the deal collapsed. It was deja vu for the Moroccan attacker, who saw a move to Paris Saint-Germain break down in January.

Pulisic has interest from Serie A club AC Milan. The Rossoneri and Chelsea are far apart in their valuations but have a good working relationship which could help get the deal over the line.

Aubameyang was hoping for a return to Barcelona, but the Catalans have signed Vitor Roque and will be wary of adding extra strain on their already dwindling finances.

The Gabonese striker reportedly has offers from Saudi League and Major League Soccer (MLS) but wants to remain in Europe.

Lukaku is another player with a Saudi Pro League offer, but he wants to return to Inter Milan.

However, the Nerazzurri do not have the funds to make a solid offer to the London club.

Chelsea must also sort out transfers for Callum Hudson-Odoi, Malang Sarr and Ethan Ampadu.

Pochettino wants his squad sorted before Chelsea travel to the United States for their pre-season tour later this month.
