Inter Miami line up move for Messi’s ex-PSG teammate Sergio Ramos

Major League Soccer outfit Inter Miami have set their sights on free agent Sergio Ramos, reports Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Having already sealed the blockbuster transfer of Lionel Messi, Miami are now looking to bring in his former Paris Saint-Germain teammate.

Ramos parted ways with PSG after his contract expired this summer, and his future is up in the air.

Saudi Arabia has also been touted as a potential destination, with Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli in contention for his signature.

Ramos could join the Saudi bandwagon, with a myriad of high-profile players in Europe on the move to the Middle East this summer.

The Spaniard has also been linked with a return to his homeland and is rumoured to be interested in signing for his former club Sevilla.

However, Ramos would have to take a significant wage cut given the Andalusian outfit’s financial crisis.

Miami stole the headlines for signing World Cup winner Messi before persuading his former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets to join him.

They could follow up with another ex-Barca player Jordi Alba, with club’s owner Jorge Mas revealing that talks are being held with the left-back.

If they are able to sign Ramos, the Florida-based club would have a star-studded squad.

Mas also shed light on Messi’s eye-watering contract details, stating the Argentine legend is set to earn between “$50-60 million per year.

The American billionaire also revealed that the operation to sign Messi lasted for around three years.
