PSG set to launch bid for Man United target Randal Kolo Muani

Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani has emerged as a primary target for Paris Saint-Germain, according to Le Parisien.

The France international striker has been heavily linked with a move away from Deutsche Bank Park this summer amid concrete interest from Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chelsea.

PSG have now joined the race for the homegrown star, who is set to cost a fortune, but the French giants are reportedly willing to prise him away from Frankfurt either way.

They are in the market for a new striker following Lionel Messi’s departure. The uncertainty surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s long-term future has also seen the club ramp up their search for a striker.

Mbappe has been linked with a move to Real Madrid after refusing to pen a new deal with the Ligue 1 champions, with his current contract set to run out next summer.

There is no fresh development on that front, but PSG appear to be carrying on with business as usual, and Kolo Muani could join his compatriot at Parc des Princes this summer.

PSG have been frustrated in their search for a forward to lead the line. They were linked with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, who remains undecided about leaving this summer.

However, it is understood that the England international would prefer to join German champions Bayern if he exits Tottenham.

Victor Osimhen has also been touted for a move to Paris. However, Napoli are unwilling to part ways with the Nigerian striker after demanding an outrageous €180 million to do business.

Kolo Muani is the latest name on the club’s shortlist, but even the Frankfurt man will not come cheap, with Germans wanting at least €100m for the 24-year-old.

The former Nantes man reportedly had reservations about joining the French champions. But the prospect of working with Luis Enrique has influenced his change of heart.

Kolo Muani committed his future to Frankfurt last month after claiming he was looking forward to representing the club next season.

However, he could end up in France with PSG planning a mega bid.
