Al-Ittihad ready to make $65m bid for Tottenham star Heung-min Son

Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad are reportedly preparing to make a $65 million bid for Tottenham Hotspur star Heung-min Son. 

They are close to signing Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, while they have already secured a deal for Karim Benzema. 

Al-Ittihad are plotting another ambitious move for Son who has been at Spurs since 2015. 

According to ESPN, the Saudi outfit are ready to offer the South Korean a lucrative five-year contract worth $33m per season. 

Al-Ittihad are optimistic about agreeing a deal with the 30-year-old, but Tottenham are reportedly unwilling to listen to any offers for the forward. 

Son endured an underwhelming season at Spurs, scoring only ten goals in 36 Premier League appearances. 

However, he has been one of their most consistent performers over the years.  

In his previous eight years at the club, he has bagged 145 goals and 80 assists in 372 senior appearances. 

The 30-year-old is a versatile player who can play in several positions.

Al-Ittihad have made a tempting offer, but Spurs are unlikely to part with the South Korean. 

They already face the prospect of losing Harry Kane this summer, with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all interested in signing him. 

They cannot afford to lose two of their biggest stars in one transfer window. 

Chairman Daniel Levy could decide to cash in on Kane as his contract expires next summer.

However, Son is tied to the club until 2025, so they will likely not sell him.
