Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly set their sights on Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos as a potential summer target.
According to O Jogo, PSG have held a positive first round of talks with Ramos’ agent Jorge Mendes and are planning to submit their first offer to the Portuguese giants.
PSG have prioritised reinforcing their attack in the summer transfer window, with Lionel Messi already gone. Kylian Mbappe has also been heavily linked with an exit.
Sporting advisor Luis Campos has drawn up a list of potential striker targets, including Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.
Ramos has long been on PSG’s radar, and the French giants are keen on securing his services ahead of next season.
The 21-year-old burst onto the scene with an eye-catching breakout campaign last season, racking up 27 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.
He gained wider attention with his goalscoring heroics in the Champions League and the World Cup, where he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting XI and scored a sensational hat-trick against Switzerland in the last-16.
PSG are expected to face tough competition for Ramos, with European giants Manchester United and Bayern Munich keeping close tabs on him.
Benfica may demand around €100 million for Ramos, who has a contract until 2026.
Osimhen remains Campos’ top target to become the new face of PSG’s attack and also a player for the future.
Les Parisiens are reportedly on the verge of appointing Luis Enrique as their next head coach after parting ways with Christophe Galtier.
Julian Nagelsmann appeared to be the leading contender, but the talks collapsed, forcing the Ligue 1 champions to go after Enrique.
