David De Gea set to leave Man Utd after 12 years

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea looks likely to leave the club this summer, according to the Mirror.

The 32-year-old is unwilling to accept a reduction on his current £375,000-per-week deal.

De Gea’s contract expires at the end of June, and he could end his 12-year stay at Old Trafford if he cannot agree to new terms with the club,

The Madrid-born goalie is not on the club’s retained list for next season, and all signs point to a departure this summer.

Despite winning the Premier League Golden Glove, the Spaniard made several high-profile errors last season.

Manager Erik ten Hag backed him, but it seems he will leave the club after 545 appearances.

If De Gea leaves, United must sign a new goalkeeper as they will have only Tom Heaton and Nathan Bishop on their books.

They still have Dean Henderson on their books, but he is keen on joining Nottingham Forest permanently.

Ten Hag wants a goalkeeper that can start attacks with his distribution. Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana could fit the bill.

Onana picked up two domestic titles in his debut campaign in Italy after leaving Ajax.

However, he also is on Chelsea’s radar, and Inter are expected to ask for big money for the Cameroon international.

United are also eyeing a move for FC Porto’s Diogo Costa, but he has a massive release clause in his contract.

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is another option, although he would likely be overpriced given the premium on English players.
