Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has rejected an offer from the Saudi Pro League, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Belgian believes it is too early in his career to leave Europe. He wants to stay in Italy and hopes that Chelsea and Inter Milan can agree a deal.
The Nerazzurri want Lukaku, but money is a little tight for them despite reaching the Champions League final and finishing third in Serie A.
Inter will likely ask to take Lukaku on loan for another season. They are reportedly interested in Kalidou Koulibaly and will ask about him too.
New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to work with Lukaku, but the former Anderlecht man is not keen on returning to London.
Chelsea have several defenders on their books, and they can let Koulibaly move back to Italy after a poor spell at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are eyeing some Inter players including goalkeeper Andre Onana following a stellar campaign domestically and in Europe.
Onana capped his season with an incredible performance in the Champions League final.
The Cameroon goalie was calm and composed with his passing. He broke through Manchester City’s lines and helped kickstart attacks.
Chelsea want a new goalkeeper and have their sights set on Onana or AC Milan’s Mike Maignan.
They also need a centre-forward to finish off chances and help link up play. Inter’s Lautaro Martinez is one of their primary targets.
The Argentine forward bagged 28 goals and 11 assists in 57 appearances last season.
