Manchester United winger Antony has been accused of domestic violence by his former partner.
According to reports from Globo, the Brazilian international faces accusations of physical assaults, injuries and threats.
The accusations are made by his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin. She officially made the complaint on Monday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Cavallin’s complaint includes four instances of physical assault. The first incident allegedly occurred in July 2022.
She stated she was pregnant when it happened but had recently ended her relationship with Antony.
Details of the reported aggressions shared by ESPN shed light on the timeline of events involving Antony and his former girlfriend.
Antony allegedly forcefully removed Cavallin from a party in July 2022. He grabbed her arm and hair before pushing her into his car.
Another reported incident happened in January 2023 when Cavallin claimed Antony assaulted her out of jealousy.
Two Man United doctors witnessed the assault. It resulted in Gabriela undergoing surgery due to the displacement of her silicone prosthesis.
Cavallin’s friend and Antony’s mother witnessed the third event. Cavallin claims there was a physical altercation where she sustained a cut on her finger from a cup broken by Antony.
The former Ajax winger allegedly broke her phone and assaulted her again later the same day.
The most recent reported incident occurred in May 2023 when the 23-year-old allegedly made a threatening phone call to Cavallin.
During the call, he stated that if he saw her with someone else, he would ‘kill’ her.
As the news of these allegations spreads, it remains unclear how Man United and Antony will respond to these serious accusations.
There will be intense scrutiny as the legal process unfolds, especially as the Mason Greenwood case is brewing in the background.
