Chelsea pushing to sign Neymar from PSG

Chelsea are in talks with representatives of Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar over a deal to move to England this summer, according to Le10sport.

The Blues are in talks with the 31-year-old’s camp, after which they will make an offer to the Parisians.

Neymar’s niggling injuries remain a concern for PSG, while his party-boy lifestyle has not helped.

PSG wanted to sell him last summer, but he refused to go. He buckled down and started the season in incredible form.

His performances were admirable until he sustained an ankle injury in February and missed the rest of the season.

Despite the top performances, PSG fans still had vitriol for him after they crashed out of the Champions League. Fans even protested outside his home.

Neymar could leave Paris this summer, with Chelsea showing the most interest in securing his services. They need a bright spark in attack and may find it in Neymar.

PSG are waiting to see the outcome of Chelsea’s talks with Neymar’s camp and are not opposed to letting him leave.

Les Parisiens are moving quickly in the market this summer, and they will want to get in a replacement early.

PSG are closing in on the signing of midfielder Manuel Ugarte from Sporting CP, and Marco Asensio will join on a free transfer after leaving Real Madrid.

They have also secured the signature of Slovakian centre-back Milan Skriniar on a free transfer.

They are pushing to sign Lucas Hernandez from Bayern Munich, after which they may move for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.

The club has announced the departure of Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos. Head coach Christophe Galtier will likely follow them out of the door.

They are in talks to hire Julian Nagelsmann, but it is doubtful whether Thierry Henry will become his assistant.
