Jude Bellingham move to Real Madrid ‘imminent’ as player rejects Premier league offers

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham is close to joining Real Madrid this summer, according to Marca.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been in talks with Los Blancos for months and the definitive agreement could arrive next week.

He has rejected offers from Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool to move to Spain.

Officials from Madrid travelled to Dortmund to push the deal into the final stages. Bellingham is their top target, and they are keen on signing him.

However, Madrid will wait until the Bundesliga concludes this weekend as it could shape their contract with BVB and the player.

Unfortunately, Bellingham is a doubt for the clash against Mainz 05. He picked up a knock and will likely miss the title decider.

BVB hold the lead at the top of the Bundesliga and only need to beat Mainz to win their first title in 11 years.

Bellingham has contributed immensely to the achievement. The Stourbridge-born midfielder has bagged eight goals and four assists in 31 appearances.

Madrid want him to bring his grit, vision, stamina and drive to their engine room.

They are preparing to pass the baton from Luka Modric and Toni Kroos to the younger generation.

Bellingham will be a tremendous addition to the ranks alongside Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelien Tchouameni.

Madrid president Florentino Perez and director Jose Angel Sanchez met with head coach Carlo Ancelotti to update him on negotiations.

Ancelotti will be planning for next season with Bellingham in mind and will have numerous top-class options to line up with.
