Roberto Firmino gives out 200 gift boxes at his Liverpool farewell party

Roberto Firmino bid farewell to Liverpool with a touching gesture that showcased his gratitude towards the people who supported him.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Firmino distributed 200 gift boxes at his farewell party after his final appearance at Anfield.

After a remarkable tenure spanning over seven years, during which he bagged 110 goals and 72 assists in 361 appearances, Firmino has closed his chapter with the Reds.

He arrived at Liverpool from TSG Hoffenheim and quickly endeared himself to the fans, becoming a favourite over the years.

Following his last match at Anfield against Aston Villa, where he scored the only goal to salvage a draw for his team, Firmino set out to express his gratitude to the individuals who played a significant role in his Liverpool journey.

The Brazilian international presented 200 guests with gift boxes. These contained a special Liverpool shirt, serving as a memento of their time together.

Each box also included a fragrance, adding a personal touch to the farewell gifts.

The recipients of these tokens of appreciation were an array of people close to Firmino. They include club employees, teammates, friends and family members.

The 31-year-old still has one last game for Liverpool this weekend against already-relegated Southampton.

The Merseyside club will likely have to settle for a place in the Europa League following the draw against Villa.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United have qualified for the Champions League and will probably be joined by Manchester United.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said they will take the Europa League seriously if they are in the competition next season.
