Roma ready contract offer for summer target Evan Ndicka, Diego Llorente heading back to Leeds

AS Roma have prepared their contract offer for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka and are expected to secure his signing, reports Corriere dello Sport.

The French defender has opted against signing a new deal with the Eagles, making himself available for free this summer.

Previous reports stated the Giallorossi have reached an agreement with Ndicka, beating Barcelona and Arsenal in the transfer race.

Ndicka will sign a five-year deal with the Italian giants at a salary of €2 million per season.

The Giallorossi have also secured Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar on a free transfer, who will move to Stadio Olimpico this summer.

Ndicka’s transfer has been requested by Jose Mourinho, who was keen for the Roma board to sign a top-quality left-footed central defender.

The 23-year-old will be a major upgrade to Roma’s backline, as he has been one of the most underrated defenders in Europe over the past few seasons.

Ndicka has been one of the most reliable players for Frankfurt, netting 12 goals and ten assists in 180 appearances in all competitions.

He was pivotal behind the Europa League triumph last season and is set to play in the DFB Pokal final against RB Leipzig next month.

On-loan-defender Diego Llorente may be heading back to Leeds United once his loan spell with Roma expires this summer.

The Spanish defender wants to continue with Giallorossi, but his recent injury has put a dent in his hopes.

Leeds are holding out for €18 million to sell him permanently, causing Roma to look elsewhere.

Roger Ibanez has also been linked with a move away from the Italian capital after courting interest from top clubs following an impressive season.

Roma will play Bayer Leverkusen tonight in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final – they lead the aggregate score 1-0.
