Farhad Moshiri set to sell Everton for around £600m to American investment fund

Everton are reportedly on the verge of being sold in a deal worth around £600 million.

Farhad Mohsiri has been their owner since 2016 when he sold his stake in Arsenal to complete a takeover at the club.

However, the relationship between Mohsiri and the Goodison Park faithful has deteriorated, with the club seeing a massive downturn in their fortunes.

They barely managed to survive in the Premier League last season and are battling relegation again.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Mohsiri’s reign is set to end, with the club on the verge of being sold in a deal worth around £600m.

American investment fund 777 Partners are the preferred bidder, and a deal will likely be completed by the start of next week.

The American company have been delaying the deal as they want a guarantee of their Premier League survival to complete the sale.

Another investment fund MSP Sports Capital are in the race, but their hopes of completing a takeover look slim.

The Toffees are one point above the relegation zone and face a tough battle with Leicester City, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest for top-flight survival.

Sean Dyche’s side suffered a 3-0 thrashing at Manchester City last Sunday and play Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth in their remaining fixtures
