Serie A giants Juventus are interested in snapping up Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport.
Per the report, Pulisic is one of many names on Juventus’ wishlist in attack alongside Antony, Angel Di Maria, Nicolo Zaniolo and Giacomo Raspadori.
The Old Lady are seeking to sign a replacement for the outgoing Paulo Dybala, who is set to join Inter Milan when he leaves the Allianz Stadium as a free agent this summer.
Pulisic has struggled to nail down a starting berth under Thomas Tuchel this term having featured in just 19 of Chelsea’s 34 Premier League games so far, scoring five goals in that time.
The American’s father is evidently displeased with the state of things as he recently took to Twitter to express his dissatisfaction in a now-deleted tweet which read:
“The sad thing is he [Pulisic] loves this club, teammates, and London.… puts his heart and soul into being a pro. Onwards and upwards my boy…big 6 months ahead..”
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash versus Real Madrid last month, Pulisic stated that while he is currently happy in West London, his long-term future is something which does not bother him.
“Of course, I still have years left on my contract. I’m feeling good, I’m happy here. We’ve been successful, we’ve done some great things as a team while I’ve been here,” the 23-year-old said.
“Currently, I am enjoying my football and I’m just going to finish the season out strong. [Extending my contract is] not something exactly I’m worried about right now but I’m feeling good right now.”
With Pulisic’s deal at Stamford Bridge due to expire in 2024, this summer looks like the last opportunity for Chelsea to recoup a reasonable part of the £58million which they paid to land the former Borussia Dortmund man three years ago.
