Arsenal will hand goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale a new contract soon following his impressive performances for the club, according to The Times.
The 24-year-old signed for the Gunners last year, joining from Sheffield United on a long-term deal.
However, the club will reward Ramsdale for a remarkable season with new terms that will give him a substantial increase on his £60k-a-week salary.
The former Bournemouth shot-stopper has recorded 13 clean sheets in 35 Premier League matches this term.
He is one of the reasons why the Gunners are challenging for their first league title in 19 years.
Ramsdale was on form on Sunday, helping to keep out Newcastle United as the Gunners took three vital points.
Arsenal are also working on renewals for Bukayo Saka and William Saliba. The pair have been crucial for the team this season.
Saka has been a talismanic figure in attack, bagging 13 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League.
Despite his recent drop in form, the 21-year-old has been one of the best players in the English top flight this season.
Saliba was part of a rock-solid Arsenal backline before a back injury ruled him out in March.
Saliba and Saka have been instrumental to Arsenal’s campaign, but their contracts expire in 2024.
Sporting director Edu Gaspar is aware of the situation and is working hard to renew contracts. He has already extended Gabriel Martinelli’s deal until 2027.
Arsenal will have a few departures this summer. Reiss Nelson will walk away for free, while Folarin Balogun may be sold to AC Milan.
