Real Madrid keeping close tabs on Bayer Leverkusen duo attracting Premier League interest

Real Madrid are reportedly keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen duo Moussa Diaby and Jeremie Frimpong.

According to BILD, Los Blancos are keeping a close eye on the two Bundesliga stars ahead of the summer transfer window.

Diaby is regarded as one of the best young wingers in Europe. He has enjoyed a spectacular 2022-23 campaign at the Bay Arena, making 18 goal contributions in 30 league appearances.

The 23-year-old has also played a key role in Leverkusen’s European campaign, starting six Champions League and five Europa League matches.

He mainly operates as a right winger but can also be used on the opposite flank or as a secondary striker.

His excellent performances have caught the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the young winger whose contract at Leverkusen expires in 2025.

The Spanish giants are also looking for a new right-back, with Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez over the age of 30.

They are tracking Frimpong who has mainly played as a wide right-midfielder but is also capable of operating as a right-back.

Frimpong has featured in 31 Bundesliga appearances this term, bagging eight goals and six assists.

But Madrid face plenty of competition for the 22-year-old, with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester United all keen on him
