Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says there is ‘no way’ Victor Osimhen will be sold in the summer transfer window.
A 1-1 draw with Udinese on Thursday was enough for the Blues to win their first Serie A title in 33 years.
Luciano Spalletti’s side, who were denied the title by Salernitana last weekend, looked in trouble once again after Sandi Lovric’s early goal.
However, Osimhen’s second-half equaliser secured the vital point that confirmed them as the newly-crowned Italian champions.
The Nigerian has played a key role in Napoli’s success this term, bagging 22 goals in 27 league appearances.
He also netted five goals in six Champions League appearances as the Blues made it to the quarter-finals.
There is plenty of interest in the young striker, particularly from Manchester United and Chelsea.
However, they have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Osimhen, with the Napoli president insisting they have no intention of letting their star player leave this summer.
He told Rai Sport show ‘Cinque Minuti’: “I will not sell Victor Osimhen this summer – no way!”
The 24-year-old is a world-class striker who would improve any team in Europe.
He has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League one day, which gives hope to United and Chelsea.
But the Nigerian is currently under contract in Naples until June 2025, which puts the Italian club in a powerful position.
They are under no pressure to sell him this summer and he could stay at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for another year.
