Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and Diogo Jota will likely miss their game against Brentford tomorrow.
The Liverpool captain played in their recent 1-0 win against Fulham and completed the game. However, he is doubtful for this weekend.
Diogo Jota came off the bench against the Cottagers, but he is another doubt for the Reds.
At Jugren Klopp’s press conference ahead of the game, he said (via Liverpool’s official website): “Diogo has his back issue, bruised rib.
“He could train yesterday, but he didn’t do a lot, to be honest. He was not really in danger yesterday for any kind of contact or stuff like this, so we have to see there.
“Hendo, we have to see. He had yesterday a scan, didn’t see the results yet. It will not be a big thing, but maybe it’s enough to rule out for tomorrow – I don’t know that yet.”
Klopp also announced that midfielder Thiago Alcantara is out for the season. The Spaniard will have surgery and will not be back until the 2023/24 campaign.
Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, Stefan Bajcetic and Calvin Ramsay are also unavailable for selection.
Liverpool will be looking to continue their recent run of form.
Following draws against Chelsea and Arsenal, they have defeated Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham.
Brentford have several players missing this weekend including Pontus Jansson (hamstring), Thomas Strakosha (calf), Christian Norgaard (Achilles) and Keane Lewis-Potter (knee).
However, Bees manager Thomas Frank confirmed that Kristoffer Ajer is available. He has been out since March with a calf problem.
