Alisson Becker praises hardworking Liverpool as Reds record five consecutive wins with 1-0 victory over Fulham

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has praised his side for their hard work as they overcame Fulham in their Premier League clash last night

Mohamed Salah scored the only goal of the game to help the Reds secure their fifth consecutive victory.

Alisson said they have been working hard to turn around their disappointing campaign.

“Tonight, it was massive to keep the three points as well – it was a really tough game against a really good side,” Alisson said (via Liverpool’s official website):

“They are not getting the results in the last matches, but they are playing really well. They are a proper threat to the opponent, and tonight, they showed that.

“For us, we worked together as a team, we worked really good on the ball, defensively as well really good.

“We gave away a few opportunities to them, but that is football. There is the quality of the opponent as well. I am happy for tonight with the three points and the clean sheet.

“In football, when you find the momentum and get the confidence, you must keep that.

“It’s too easy to lose, and if you lose it, it is really hard to get back. Everybody saw it this season.

“But we are working hard – we always said we were working hard to change our situation, and here is the result.

“We are getting on the winning path again. Still, a lot to improve, but we are on the right path as a team, and I really believe great things will come for us.”

Alisson lauded teammate Luis Diaz after an electrifying performance against Fulham.

Diaz was out for around six months with two injuries. He returned to training with the first team last month and played against Leeds on April 17.

The 26-year-old netted his first goal since his return in the 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
