Bayern Munich open talks with striker target Randal Kolo Muani

Bayern Munich have initiated talks with Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani over a summer move, reports Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The first round of talks with the Frenchman’s entourage were positive, and Bayern are expected to proceed with negotiations.

Kolo Muani will cost lower than his previously reported price tag of €100 million.

Bayern are keen to bolster their striker position this summer and are ready to splash the cash.

The Bavarians have drawn IP a shortlist of high-profile striker targets, with Kolo Muani among them.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence with his stellar form in Bundesliga this season, netting 13 goals and 12 assists.

He also played a key role in Frankfurt’s qualification to the Champions League knockout stage, scoring goals against Marseille and Sporting CP in the group phase.

However, Bayern face tough competition for the 2022 World Cup finalist, who is also on the wishlist of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Man United are reportedly ahead in the race as they continue to push for his signing, although Kolo Muani hasn’t decided yet.

Bayern have also been tracking Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, but the Englishman wants to stay in the Premier League.

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen tops Bayern’s wishlist, with the Nigerian striker also open to moving to Allianz Arena.
