Man Utd attacker Antony promises there is more to come after recent impressive form

Manchester United forward Antony believes there is more to come from him after producing some excellent form in recent weeks.

The 23-year-old provided a goal and an assist in his last Premier League game for United against Nottingham Forest.

Antony previously had solid outings against Everton and Sevilla. He has netted eight goals and two assists in all competitions this term.

While it has been a decent campaign for the former Ajax man, he thinks he has more to give.

Antony said (via Man United’s official website): “I always have to improve a lot as well. I expect a lot of myself.

“There have been a lot of goals and assists, and I’m very happy with that, but there is a lot still to come.

“We have very difficult games. We are in a fight. Our objective is to get into the Champions League. It is a very clear objective that we are working towards.

“Manchester United is a great club. When I came here, I was hoping to win titles [trophies], and one is a great thing, but it’s an even better thing to have the chance to possibly be able to win two.”

Antony acknowledged that the game against Tottenham Hotspur tonight will be awkward. He believes a new manager can give them a different outlook.

Spurs sacked Cristian Stellini following their 6-1 thumping at the hands of Newcastle United. Ryan Mason will take charge until the end of the season.

The clash could determine the race for the top four. A win for United tonight would effectively knock Spurs out of contention with only a few games left.
