Injury Update: one Man City player, four Arsenal players missing for title-deciding clash

Arsenal and Manchester City will face-off tonight in a Premier League clash that will likely decide where the league title will go.

Arsenal top the table with 75 points after playing 32 games, but City are chasing them relentlessly. The Cityzens are on 70 points but have played only 30 games.

Arsenal have lost momentum over the past week after drawing their last three games with West Ham United, Liverpool and Southampton.

Both sides will clash in a crucial encounter at the Etihad Stadium tonight without instrumental players.

Manchester City

The Premier League champions will be without Nathan Ake for the game. The Dutchman is dealing with a hamstring injury.

Man City manager Pep Guardiola has used Ake as his first-choice left-back. The 28-year-old has been a consistent performer for his side.

Ake suffered the injury in City’s quarter-final clash with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. He missed their FA Cup win over Sheffield United with Sergio Gomez deputising.

The Spaniard will likely start again tonight in the absence of Ake. He will have the task of stopping Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.

The Gunners will be without centre-back William Saliba who has been dealing with a back injury since the second leg of their Europa League clash with Sporting CP.

Fans have been eager to see the Frenchman back in action, but Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has urged patience. He said they need to monitor him daily.

Takehiro Tomiyasu suffered a knee injury against Sporting. He will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery.

Arsenal had announced that Mohamed Elneny will be out for an extended period. Granit Xhaka is also doubtful through illness.

Arsenal’s season comes down to this game

Arsenal have more injury concerns than City which will put them at a disadvantage.

The Gunners are chasing their first Premier League title in 19 years and need three points tonight.

A win will be the massive boost they need after recent disappointing results, but it will not be easy against Guardiola’s battle-tested group.

The City manager is hunting for his fifth league title in England and will fancy his side against Arsenal.
