Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has delivered good news to the club’s fans ahead of their visit to Sevilla for the second leg of their Europa League clash.
The Dutchman revealed that four players unavailable for their last game against Nottingham Forest would return for the game.
Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Marcel Sabitzer and Tyrell Malacia missed the trip to the City Ground, where they won 2-0.
However, they are in the squad for tomorrow, although it is unclear if they will play.
Ten Hag said (via Man Utd’s website): “They are available. That is why they are on the airplane.
“I will take my decisions tomorrow. Today we trained, and we will see what the reaction is, and then tomorrow, we will take a decision.
“You always want to keep players fit, which is the main objective, besides, of course, the main objective, to win the game.”
Ten Hag explained Rashford’s recovery process from his groin injury.
He said the 25-year-old has been training individually but only joined the group this morning.
Ten Hag may consider risking his top scorer this season. The Red Devils need a win to advance after a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.
The return of the four players to the squad is a massive boost for the club. They are already without some instrumental players.
Lisandro Martinez is out of action until next season, while Raphael Varane is out until May. Bruno Fernandes is supsended.
Scott McTominay has remained at home to work on his recovery. Alejandro Garnacho, Tom Heaton and Donny van de Beek are still injured.
Sevilla’s Gonzalo Montiel is suspended, but they have no other absentees.
