Chelsea will meet with Julian Nagelsmann to discuss his ideas for managing the club, according to Sport Bild.
The Blues dismissed Graham Potter after a poor seven-month spell in charge that saw the Blues drop to eleventh in the Premier League and crash out of both domestic cups.
They rehired former manager Frank Lampard until the end of the season to help them salvage something.
Lampard has lost his first two games in charge and things have not improved under him.
However, Lampard will remain in charge to allow Chelsea’s bosses to search thoroughly for a new manager.
Owners Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly, alongside directors Laurence Stewart, Paul Winstanley and Christopher Vivell, have already met with Luis Enrique.
The former Spain manager travelled to London to speak with Chelsea last week as he looks to return to club management. The talks reportedly went well.
It is now Nagelsmann’s turn to meet the Chelsea hierarchy. The recently-dismissed Bayern Munich manager is one of the most promising coaches around.
His resume is impressive after taking TSG Hoffenheim to the Champions League. He also guided RB Leipzig to the Champions League semi-finals.
Leipzig pushed Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title the following season and finished as DFB-Pokal runners-up.
He won the Bundesliga and the German Super Cup with Bayern in his first season. However, they crashed out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals.
This season has more bumps along the road, with the club struggling to retain the Bundesliga crown. They decided to part ways with Nagelsmann.
Chelsea are wary of Nagelsmann’s age, but the 35-year-old has the chance to charm the club and prove why he is the right man for the job.
