PSG monitoring Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo this summer.

After a dismal stint at Barcelona, the French defender has resurrected his career at Nice, growing into one of the best defenders in Ligue 1.

The 23-year-old has become an undisputable starter for Didier Dasgard’s side, making 38 appearances while playing a huge role in progressing to the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League.

Todibo’s impressive performances also didn’t go unnoticed after he earned his first-ever call-up to the France national team last month.

According to Foot Mercato, PSG sporting director Luis Campos has earmarked Todibo as the top defensive target and wants to persuade him to Parc des Princes at all costs.

Apart from Marquinhos – who has agreed to a new contract – no other defenders at PSG have guaranteed futures.

Sergio Ramos is out of contract this summer, and there haven’t been any efforts to renew his deal.

The Spaniard could be sacrificed due to Financial Fair Play regulations, and he has received a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian Pro League club Al-Hilal.

PSG could move on from Presnel Kimpembe, whose contract expires in 2024, as part of the squad overhaul.
