Barcelona winger Ez Abde has become a revelation in La Liga this season courtesy of his impressive loan spell with Osasuna.
Despite being part of Xavi’s side during the second half of last season, the Moroccan left Camp Nou in the summer following the arrivals of Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.
Having scored five goals and two assists in all competitions, Abde has been pivotal behind Osasuna’s impressive domestic campaign.
They have reached the final of Copa del Rey and are pushing for the European places in La Liga.
Abde’s emergence has caught the attention of Premier League giants Wolverhampton Wanderers, as reported by Sport.
Wolves have initiated contact with his agent Jorge Mendes, who has a major influence with the Midlands club.
La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are also keeping an eye on the 21-year-old as a potential replacement for Yannick Carrasco, who is keen on leaving the club this summer.
However, Abde reportedly dreams of returning to Camp Nou this summer in the hope of securing a prominent role with the first team.
The Blaugrana have been impressed by Abde’s progress and are willing to take him under their wing next season, as there are uncertainties over their summer transfer plans.
Xavi wants to bolster the left-wing position, which has been a big letdown this season following the injury to Ousmane Dembele and the struggles of Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres.
The Blaugrana manager may have to resort to Abde if the club aren’t allowed to make any signings this summer, with La Liga president Javier Tebas warning Barca to balance the books.
Barca have also identified Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Carrasco and Vitor Roque as potential targets, but the club’s financial situation will determine whether they can step up their interest.
