Arsenal confident of beating Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea to Declan Rice signing

Arsenal are reportedly confident they will win the race for Declan Rice this summer amid interest from Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea

According to the Evening Standard, the 24-year-old is the Gunners’ number one target.

Rice is regarded as an ideal signing for Arsenal who are currently in a fierce battle with City for the Premier League title.

The midfielder has been impressive for West Ham since making his senior debut in May 2017.

He has been a key member of David Moyes’ side with over 190 top-flight appearances to his name. And at 24, the England international has his best years ahead of him.

There is reportedly an acceptance at the Hammers that Rice will not stay beyond this season.

His current contract at the London Stadium will run out in June 2024, but he reportedly has no plans to pen an extension.

His situation has alerted several top European clubs, including Chelsea, United, City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

However, the Gunners are confident of beating them all to land their top summer transfer target.

Mikel Arteta has done an incredible job this season at the Emirates Stadium and they are now favourites to clinch the Premier League title.

With Champions League football almost secured, Arsenal have become an attractive club which could give them an edge in the transfer race for the midfielder.

Impressed with the work of Arteta, the club’s owners are willing to back him again in the upcoming transfer window.

Club football stopped for two weeks due to the international break, but the Gunners will return to league action on April 1 when they host Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium.
