West Ham and Aston Villa interested in Joaquin Correa

Premier League duo West Ham United and Aston Villa are interested in signing Inter Milan striker Joaquin Correa, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 28-year-old is one of the players his club plans to shift this summer. He has struggled since joining the Nerazzurri.

Correa joined Inter ahead of the 2021/22 season. He bagged eight goals and three assists in 28 Serie A games for Lazio during the previous campaign.

The Argentine international joined Inter on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

However, Correa has not kicked on since his move to Inter and is behind Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko in the pecking order.

He netted six Serie A goals last term and just three this time around.

Inter are planning to refresh their squad this summer with Marcelo Brozovic, Milan Skriniar, Denzel Dumfries and Correa set to be on the move.

West Ham are looking to add firepower despite Danny Ings joining in January. They could turn to Correa as a solution. Villa are also considering him, with Unai Emery looking to bolster his options.

Correa also has interest from his former club Sevilla. The Andalusians would like him to return five years after selling him to Lazio for €16 million.

Inter have already made contact with Bologna’s Ricardo Orsolini as a replacement for Correa and will move for him in the summer transfer window.

Simone Inzaghi could also be on his way out of the club. The Inter boss has not delivered in Serie A this season and the club may axe him this summer.
