Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea eyeing Wilfried Gnonto

Premier League trio Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal are targeting Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

He has impressed since joining Leeds from FC Zurich. The Italian international is a livewire on the left wing and top clubs are monitoring his progress.

He could be on the move again this summer despite only joining last year if Leeds are relegated to the Championship.

Leeds are 14th in the Premier League but are only two points above the relegation zone.

Gnonto signed a five-year deal when he joined Leeds for around £4 million and they would likely make a healthy profit from his sale.

Leeds will demand between €35 to €40 million for the diminutive attacker.

Since arriving at Elland Road, Gnonto has captivated with his electric dribbling. The 19-year-old has scored four goals and assisted another three in 20 appearances.

Gnonto is also an international player with eight caps for Italy. He has netted once and assisted another under Roberto Mancini.

He is with Italy for the latest round of international games. Italy will face England and Malta as they begin their 2024 European Championship qualifying campaign.

Back home in Italy, Juventus admire Gnonto and could consider a move for him in the future.

His former club Inter Milan have not shown any interest and reportedly do not regret their decision to cash in on the prospect.

Gnonto is not interested in a move back to Italy. He reportedly loves England and wants to stay in the Premier League.
