If the sought-after Nigerian finds the net on Friday, he’ll become only the second player in a three-point-per-win era to score in nine Serie A games on the bounce after Juventus legend David Trezeguet. 

Despite winning back-to-back league outings without conceding in the run-up to this trip, Lazio have every reason to fear Osimhen, even though he failed to score in Napoli’s 2-1 win in the reverse fixture in September.

Maurizio Sarri’s men have recovered from a dismal three-game winless top-flight streak (D1, L2) with a brace of victories over bottom-half strugglers Salernitana and Sampdoria.

Sarri’s men start this round in fourth, one point clear of arch-rivals Roma, so extending a three-game unbeaten run on hostile turf is essential to retaining their position in the standings (W2, D1).

Despite Napoli’s tremendous attacking potential, Lazio could make things difficult for the southern giants at least before half-time after keeping 20 first-half clean sheets in 24 Serie A matches this term.
